We recommend 3 ways to set up DNS on your managed VPS<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Setting up for a single domain:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Link your domain to your server\u2019s IP using an A record. This can be done through your DNS provider or from your domain control panel to your main IP address.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Configure your custom nameservers<\/strong>:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

For full DNS management: If you would like to use your own nameservers for your server and for multiple domains, please add these records in your domain registrar\u2019s control panel:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Example: ns1.yourdomain.com [your server main IP]<\/code>
Example: ns2.yourdomain.com [your server main IP]<\/code><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Then you just need to add these records from this page on the cPanel\/WHM: Home => Server Configuration => Basic WebHost Manager Setup<\/em> at the bottom in the block Nameservers<\/em>.

After you complete this process, DNS propagation can take 24-48 hours, though in many cases it happens faster. For more details about custom nameserver setup, check out cPanel\u2019s guide: How to configure nameservers in a cPanel\/WHM server<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Recommended setup: Custom nameservers with a DNS cluster<\/strong>:<\/p>\n\n\n\n
