How to Point My Domain to My cPanel VPS Server

There are 3 different ways to set up DNS on your VPS server: simple setup for one domain name, advanced setup with your NS, and recommended setup with separate DNS servers.

1. You can point your domain name with an A record using your DNS provider (such as Cloudflare) or from your domain control panel to your main IP address.

2. For full DNS management: If you would like to use your own nameservers for your server, please add these records in your domain registrar’s control panel:

Example: ns1.yourdomain.com [your server main IP]
Example: ns2.yourdomain.com [your server main IP]

Then you just need to add these records from this page on the cPanel/WHM: Home => Server Configuration => Basic WebHost Manager Setup at the bottom in the block “Nameservers“.

You need to wait 24-48 hours until the DNS propagation is complete.

3. The best setup is to configure a cPanel DNS Only cluster with a minimum of 2 additional VPS servers. If you are interested in this setup, please contact our sales team. We can offer 2 cPanel DNS Only servers for the price of one.
